Thundercat and Hannibal Buress Team Up at the Rose Bowl Drive-In Oct. 24

Hotbox presents Thundercat and Hannibal Buress live at the Rose Bowl Drive-In on Saturday, Oct. 24.

Due to popular demand, a second show has been added, according to music.mxdwn.com. A matinee show will begin at 4:30 p.m. The second show starts at 8 p.m.

These will be socially distanced performances with masks required at all times.

Earlier this year, R&B/jazz artist Thundercat released his fourth studio album “It Is What It Is,” following the release of the lead single “King of the Hill.” The new album is dedicated to the late Mac Miller, his friend and frequent collaborator.

The multi-instrumental artist is also associated with acts like Kendrick Lamar, Flying Lotus, and Erykah Badu.

During his early years as a musician, Thundercat was the bass player for punk/thrash band Suicidal Tendencies.

Fresh off his “Miami Nights” YouTube special, Buress has been featured in Adult Swim’s “The Eric Andre Show” since 2012 and was featured on Comedy Central’s “Broad City” from 2014 to 2019. He’s also starred in films including “Neighbors” and “Neighbors 2,” “Sorority Rising,” “The Disaster Artist,” and “Baywatch,” among other productions.

The Rose Bowl is located at 1001 Rose Bowl Drive, Pasadena. The drive-in is located at the stadium’s Area H lawn.
