Vecinos de South Pasadena and Pavilions and SmileHaus Orthodontics, their official sponsors, will host a “Day of the Dead Gala” at the War Memorial Building in South Pasadena on Saturday, Oct. 22, 6 to 10 p.m.
The evening features dinner, including beer or wine, dancing, DJ, Live entertainment, sugar skull face painting, silent and live auctions, tequila tasting, a community “altar,” raffles and more.
Vecinos de South Pasadena (“Vecinos” meaning “Neighbors”) was established in March 2003 with a mission to bring together Latinos and non-Latinos alike, to form a stronger community in South Pasadena, while sharing the richness of Latino culture.
The organization supports Latino arts, scholars, workers and community role models; teachers, students, writers and other artists; and provides a forum to discuss books, films, education, careers, ideas, and more.
