Virtually Watch an Adult Student Recital from Pasadena Conservatory of Music

STAFF REPORT
Published on Feb 18, 2021

Whether or not you know someone in the Pasadena Conservatory of Music, you can always show your support by simply joining them online and watching some of their adult student recitals.

The next one is at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, and will feature several students performing on strings, guitar, flute, and Scottish fiddle.

PCM presents these online student recitals throughout the school year. The recitals offer students the opportunity to perform in a formal setting and gain confidence as musicians.

These recitals are typically attended by the friends and families of the student performers, but they are free and open to the public.

Located at 100 N. Hill Ave., the PCM is an independent, nonprofit, nationally-accredited community school whose mission is to educate, advocate, inspire, and share through music study and performance.

The Conservatory offers a comprehensive curriculum that encompasses old, new, traditional, and avant-garde music for children and adults. More than 1,200 students — from as young as four months to adults of all ages — attend the school annually and more than 3,000 students in schools throughout the Pasadena Unified School District and the community benefit from its extensive outreach programs.

Funding for music classes is received from tuition, contributions from the community, and foundation and government grants.

To attend the free online recital on Friday, register through www.pasadenaconservatory.org/event/adult-student-recital-11/. A link to the Zoom event will be sent to your email.
