TUESDAY, JULY 4

JULY FOURTH FESTIVAL OF BALLOONS IN SOUTH PASADENA
Tuesday, July 4, 2023 starts at 7:00 a.m.
The “2023 4th of July Festival of Balloons” is an event that will be taking place in the City of South Pasadena. The festival theme for this year is “Red, White, and Blue – Bold Stripes, Bright Stars, and Brave Hearts Too.” The day-long festivities begin at 7:00 a.m. with the Kiwanis’ Pancake Breakfast at the South Pasadena Fire Station. The official opening ceremony will start at 10:30 a.m. at the South Pasadena Public Library Community Room, followed by a parade at 11:00 a.m. The parade route will extend from Diamond Avenue to Garfield Park, where games, food, and a live concert featuring U.S. 99 will be available until 3:00 p.m. The event will conclude with a fireworks display at 9:00 p.m. at the South Pasadena High School Stadium​.

Schedule:

  • 7:00 a.m.: Pancake Breakfast by Kiwanis at South Pasadena Fire Station
  • 10:30 a.m.: Opening Ceremony at South Pasadena Public Library Community Room
  • 11:00 a.m.: Parade from Diamond Avenue to Garfield Park
  • 2:00 p.m.: Concert
  • Throughout the day until 3:00 p.m.: Food and Games at Garfield Park
  • 9:00 p.m.: Fireworks at South Pasadena High School Stadium

4th OF JULY FIREWORKS, FUN ZONE & PARADE 2023

The 4th of July Fireworks Celebration is a beloved patriotic event organized by the City of San Marino. The festivities include food trucks, a fun zone, a parade, entertainment, and an exciting fireworks display. The event is set to take place on Tuesday at Lacy Park, located at 1485 Virginia Road, San Marino, CA. Entry to the park is ticketed, and wristbands are required for adults and youth over 2 years old. Pre-sale wristbands can be purchased at $5 for residents (proof of residency is required) and $15 for non-residents. All wristbands purchased on the day of the event are priced at $20 for both residents and non-residents. Wristbands can be bought through Monday, July 3, at the Stoneman Building, 1560 Pasqualito Drive, and Crowell Public Library, 1890 Huntington Drive) during their respective operating hours​. In addition, the 4th of July Parade in San Marino, presented by the Rotary Club, welcomes bicycle entries on the day and vehicle entries via application. VIP Pavilion seating is available through the San Marino City Club for stress-free socializing. The JP Blecksmith Memorial 5K Run, a significant event by the JP Blecksmith Leadership Foundation, can be participated in-person or virtually. SIERRA MADRE 4TH OF JULY FESTIVITIES AND PARADE

The Sierra Madre 4th of July celebration is an annual multi-day event held in Sierra Madre, California, fostering community spirit and patriotism. On Tuesday, enjoy:

  • 7:00 a.m.: Firecracker Fun Run 5K at Kersting Court, Sierra Madre, CA​
  • 8:00 a.m.: Woman’s Club Pre-Parade Community Open House with Continental Breakfast and Live Music by the Wabash Wailers at 550 West Sierra Madre Blvd
  • 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: Parade from Sierra Madre Blvd. to Sierra Vista Park, Sierra Madre, CA​

AmericaFest at the Rose Bowl Stadium will not be held. The Rose Bowl Stadium will be hosting a nearly sold-out (80,000) soccer game on July 4th at 7:30 p.m. Only ticket holders will be permitted to park in the area and parking will be strictly enforced surrounding the stadium.

 

LA GALAXY vs LAFC OPENER & FIREWORKS NIGHT

The LA Galaxy vs LAFC season opener is a highly anticipated Major League Soccer (MLS) event set to take place at the iconic Rose Bowl Stadium on Saturday, February 25, 2023. This match marks the beginning of the 2023 MLS regular season and showcases the fierce intercity rivalry between the LA Galaxy and LAFC. Significantly, this game will be the 17th meeting between these two teams and the first to be held at the Rose Bowl Stadium, where the Galaxy played their inaugural match in 1996. In addition to its sporting significance, the match also signifies the inauguration of a multiyear partnership between MLS and Apple, enabling fans around the globe to watch the game on the Apple TV app​.
