Aria Montessori School Teaches Students About the Voting With Special Election

The teachers of Aria Montessori School have set up a ‘voting station ’ for their young students..

When the preschool-age children arrive tomorrow, they will be shown to the polling station given a voting card. This gives them the option to vote, by checking the box,  for which morning snack they would like.  Once all votes have been cast the children help to count them into piles and the winner is announced.

“We feel that it is important that children understand that their voice matters from an early age and they have a part in decision-making,” said Mrs. Schofield-Smith Aria Principal.

As an essential service provider Aria Montessori School has been successfully educating their children throughout the pandemic with both in-person teaching and their very popular online classes.

There are a limited number of places available for more information contact school principal Gill Schofield-Smith (626) 793-3741, or email through www.ariamontessori.net.
