College Counseling at Southwestern Academy

From the first day of a student’s first semester until the day they graduate, Southwestern Academy’s college counselors work with each individual to provide direction and support every step of the way. Regular, one-on-one college counseling meetings are required by Southwestern’s excellence policy to help guide students through the entire university selection, testing, and application process.

Southwestern Academy is committed to helping students discover the college that is the best fit for them. By the time students are ready to apply, they will have gone through all the necessary steps to make an informed decision about their future. This program is rooted in the belief and understanding that each student is unique. As such, counseling plans are tailored to each individual’s needs. It is our team’s mission for each student to find the college that is the best match for them — a place where they will be happy and successful.

Southwestern Academy provide access to a wide variety of exclusive college investigation and planning resources, including visits to colleges and universities located in the region. Students can also attend on-campus college recruitment sessions and hear presentations from speakers about various college topics. When it comes time to apply, counselors are there to assist with applications, essays, and interview preparations. Further, the college counselors help students schedule routine sessions to plan study schedules, monitor performance and progress, and prepare for tests like the SAT, ACT, and TOEFL.

At Southwestern Academy, it is committed to helping students reach their full potential, both academically and personally. The college counseling program is an important part of that commitment, and we are proud to offer this comprehensive support.
