Hands-on Science at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy

Hands on science continues while distance learning at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy (FSHA)! In anatomy, Chloe Shi ‘22 filmed herself dissecting a chicken to view tissues macroscopically.

Students dissect chicken to identify joints, muscles, and bones and some make a model of bones and the skeletal system. Dissecting is a good activity that offers novel insights into the biology of all organisms. Seeing organs and understanding how they work within a single animal may strengthen students’ comprehension of biological systems.
