Marshall Welcomes New Assistant Principal, Dr. Marcela Valadez
The Marshall community is excited to welcome several new members to the Eagle Family this year, starting with its new Assistant Principal, Dr. Marcela Valadez. Dr. Valadez joins Marshall from Nogales High School in the Rowland Unified School District, where she has served as an assistant principal since 2022.

Her background includes roles as a teacher, intervention coordinator, instructional coach, and assistant principal across TK-12 school communities. Notably, she has facilitated a middle school’s transition into a STEAM academy, established systems for monitoring student progress, and led various councils and parent education activities. She earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Master’s in Education from UCLA, and her Bachelor’s from UC Santa Barbara.
Dr. Valadez expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “I look forward to collaborating with the talented students, dedicated staff, and vibrant community of Marshall to continue our school’s legacy of excellence in arts and academics. Thank you all for this incredible opportunity!”
