Southwestern Academy Students Visit The Huntington Library Botanical Gardens

It’s a lovely day to visit the gardens! Southwestern Academy ESL students enjoyed the summer morning down at the The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens. They are quite fortunate to have the Huntington so close to the Southwestern Academy campus for lots of hands on learning and picture taking! There’s so many benefits in encouraging students to visit gardens and even start one… Plants, flowers, insects, birds and weather all become participants in the learning process. As a result, students are more engaged, more attentive and more motivated to learn. While gardens encourage creativity, stricter disciplines benefit, too.
