Teaching Artist Gabriella Carboni at the Armory Center for the Arts in Pasadena will be teaching “Artful Architecture: Designing Your Dream Home” to kids 7 to 9 years old on Zoom from 4 to 5 p.m. Monday, April 5.

In these online classes, Armory Center staff bring children art instruction, where they are introduced to materials, concepts and techniques, then encouraged to playfully explore their ideas and challenge their imaginations. In some classes, certain art materials are available for curbside pickup.

This particular course will have 10 meetings on Mondays starting April 5 and will continue through June 14. The course fee is $265 per child which covers all 10 meetings.

For materials, your child will need some cardboard, an extra-fine tip sharpie felt tip pen, watercolors and brush, watercolor paper or heavy stock paper, drawing paper or copy paper, and some aluminum foil.

Armory Center members receive 10% off, as long as they use the code ArmoryMember2021 during registration.

Carboni is an interdisciplinary artist originally from Boston. In 2017, she earned her master of fine arts degree in Painting from Cranbrook Academy of Art. She moved to Los Angeles shortly thereafter and teaches in the Armory’s Studio and Schools programs.

Carboni is also a drawing instructor in ArtCenter College of Design’s public programs and was a 2018 Armory Fellow. She has exhibited in group shows internationally.
