Yum! It’s Girl Scout Cookie Season

Published on Feb 2, 2022

Girl Scouts in Pasadena and throughout L.A. are now selling beloved Girl Scout Cookies and honing their business skills as the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles officially launches the 2022 Girl Scout Cookie Season.

Local Girl Scouts started delivering and selling Girl Scout cookies directly to consumers as of January 30. Now through Sunday, March 13, it’s the time to buy and hoard your favs — including Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, and all the other iconic Girl Scout Cookies.

“In true Girl Scout fashion, Girl Scouts have adapted, stayed hopeful, and supported each other through some very tough challenges this past year, and now they launch their beloved annual cookie traditions,” said Theresa Edy Kiene, Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles Chief Executive Officer. “This season is particularly special because it comes as we kick off our council’s centennial celebration. It is a big year for us and we couldn’t be happier to share all of that excitement with the whole Greater Los Angeles community.”

Girl Scouts are back to selling cookies in creative, socially distant, and contact-free ways to keep themselves and their customers safe during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Starting February 11, Girl Scouts will be running outdoor cookie booths in Pasadena and throughout the Greater Los Angeles community. They will follow local, state, and CDC guidelines while still bringing their fun, imaginative, and captivating selling techniques to their happy customers.

You can help support the Girls Scouts by purchasing cookies, and there are many ways you can do this.

First, you can reach out to a Girl Scout you know and ask how she is selling cookies. There are options for delivery, such as direct shipment or local delivery.

If you do not know a Girl Scout, you can text “COOKIES” to 59618 and receive information on how you can order.

Beginning February 11, you can download the Cookie Finder App for free on iOS and Android devices to locate the Girl Scout Cookie Booth nearest you and purchase directly from your local Girl Scout, or you can go online, visit www.girlscoutsla.org/en/cookies/about-girl-scout-cookies.html, and look for a box where you can input your zip code, and a list of  Girl Scout Cookie Booths in your area will appear, with hours of operation and the exact location.

Throughout Pasadena, Girl Scouts will set up their cookie booths starting Feb. 11 at Ralphs, Vons and Dunkin Donuts locations, at Vroman’s Bookstore at 695 E Colorado Blvd., Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf at 415 S. Lake Ave., Linden Optometry at 477 E. Colorado Blvd., and at Smart & Final, located at 401 N. Fair Oaks Ave., among others.

These cookie booths will be run by girls from the Crown Poppy Scout Service Unit, which covers Pasadena, Sierra Madre and Altadena, and the San Marino Scout Service Unit.

Parents have always been helping their girls during Girl Scout Cookie Season, so it wouldn’t be unusual to see many of these moms at or near the cookie booths when sales start on Feb. 11.
